Russell Phelps
Russell Phelps is an accomplished musician, serving First UMC for many years as the Director of Music. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Murray State University and a Master's Degree from Northwestern University. He taught music at Covington High School for more than forty years, as both choral and band director. He was married to the late Clara Jane Phelps for over 58 years, and is an active member of the church and the community. He has two children, and five grandchildren, and one great-grandaughter.
